Code of Ethics

FITS Certified inspectors must stay current with their continuing education units, be in good standing with manufacturers, maintain their technical skills and exhibit good people skills.
Certified inspector may have no more than two unresolved complaints in one year. All major complaints will be reviewed and could result in sanctions or loss of certification.
Evidence of working as a “hired gun” will be submitted for review and could result in sanctions or loss of certification.
FITS Certification applies to individuals qualifying and passing FITS criteria. No inspector can or will be allowed to inspect/work under another certificate.
FITS Certified inspectors must abide by the Bylaws & Code of Ethics with pride, professionalism and integrity. They must be devoted to the science, continuing education and special skills necessary to be recognized as a FITS Certified Flooring Inspector.
Non-compliance with the Bylaws & Code of Ethics and non-compliance with FITS and commissioners requests for business engagements will result in review and could result in sanctions or loss of certification.
